Clipchamp Tutorial: Create Training Videos with AI Voiceover

Turn an employee how-to into a short Clipchamp training video: record five actions, edit them into a lesson, add text-to-speech narration and share the viewing link.

Turn an employee how-to into a Clipchamp training video

A short video is useful when the lesson depends on seeing an action: finding a button, opening a shared file, or choosing a setting. Start with one outcome and a handful of visible steps. The example in this lesson is “Five Quick Steps to Get Started with Microsoft Teams.”

Open Clipchamp with your work account

Use Clipchamp in Microsoft 365 (opens in a new tab) in Edge or Chrome. Microsoft's work-account guidance (opens in a new tab) lists Clipchamp Standard among the services included with Microsoft 365 E5 and Office 365 E5. Your assigned license and organization settings determine access. Choose Create video project on the current home page.

Record five short actions

Plan an opening screen, a self-chat, an onboarding channel, a shared checklist and notification settings. In the editor, use Record & create → Screen, select the Teams tab or window, and keep the microphone off if you will add narration. Capture each action with a brief pause at either end. Review and save the takes into the editor. See Microsoft's screen-recording instructions (opens in a new tab).

Turn the takes into a lesson

Arrange the clips in order. Trim empty edges. To remove a mistake inside a clip, split on both sides, delete the unwanted segment and close the gap. Add a consistent numbered label for each step, keeping controls and caption space readable. These are standard Clipchamp editing operations (opens in a new tab).

Add narration from text

Use Record & create → Text to speech. Select a language and voice, preview one short instruction, then save it. Place that block beneath its matching action and repeat for each step. Listen before adjusting timing. Rewrite long instructions or record a longer screen hold where needed. Microsoft's text-to-speech guide (opens in a new tab) confirms work-account support and describes caption generation. Correct the captions before export.

Give employees the viewing link

Export a 1080p MP4 and check the cloud destination. Play the whole exported video. Use the completed video's viewing link, with permissions appropriate to the audience; reserve project-editing access for maintainers. Microsoft's export guide (opens in a new tab) and sharing guide (opens in a new tab) cover those separate workflows. Test the link with an intended viewer before distributing it.

Reuse the structure

Download the five-step workbook and sample narration. Replace the example actions with a task employees ask about often. Give the video an owner and a review date so the next interface update is easy to handle.

Recorded October 7, 2026 in work-account Clipchamp and Teams using Edge on macOS. Screen recording, Standard Ada Multilingual narration, caption correction, and 1080p export were exercised. The demo begins signed in and uses sample content. Notification preferences were not changed. Assigned tenant SKU and employee-viewer permissions were not tested. The accompanying episode is publicly available on Tunde Automates.

The presenter is the owner’s authorized AI avatar with synthetic narration. The employee example uses Clipchamp’s own text-to-speech voice. Product screens are real recordings; some are cropped and held to make the instructions easier to follow.
