Question: People cannot hear me in a Teams meeting. What should I check first?

Answer:
1. Check that you are not muted in the meeting and that any headset hardware mute is off.
2. In Teams desktop settings, open Devices and select the microphone and speaker you intend to use.
3. Where available, use Make a test call to check the selected devices.
4. If the problem continues, tell the service desk your device, Teams client and whether the microphone works in another app.

Scope and escalation: Basic device checks only. Do not claim this fixes all audio faults. Permission changes, driver installation and outages are not covered.
